Hi all,
Christmas is coming up (only, what, 5 weeks away or something? blah) and so I am attempting to get some of my shopping done before the 24th of December...
one of the things I am looking for, however, is a women's plush-y bath robe, in a TALL size. I have no idea where the best place to go about looking for it is. Ideally, it would be super-soft (maybe like all those baby toys and blankets? or the softest possible at any rate), because, well, who wouldn't want a super-soft robe?
Any help anyone can give in this area would be appreciated. Local stores, internet stores, all suggestions are welcome. |

Where is the cheapest place to get passport photos done? I need to have five copies of my passport photos. I don't have a CAA or Costco membership. Does anyone know where I can get a lot of copies done for cheap? The only place I know right now is Superstore ($9.99 for two), which came up to about $30+.

• RULES: Create a 90 second (or less) film between October 14 & November 24.
• NOTE: This contest is open to everyone! You do not have to be a WFG member nor do you have to live in Winnipeg.
• DEADLINE: All completed films must arrive at the WFG office (304-100 Arthur St. Winnipeg, MB R3B 1H3) by 5pm on Tuesday, November 24. (no extensions)
• FORMATS: a 16mm or 35mm film print or a playable DVD and file of your film/video on DVD (.mov, .avi)
• SCREENING: Friday, December 4 at 7pm at the Cinematheque. Admission is $5.00.
• PRIZES: 1/3 of the door will go to the makers of the film awarded the special jury prize!

I am looking for a light saber as a present for someone for Christmas. I was going to order from thinkgeek.com but if I can avoid shipping and duty and whatnot, I would like to.
Does anyone know of anywhere that would sell a really high-quality one such as they do on thinkgeek.com? (One that makes noise as well as lighting up). Anywhere in the Lower Mainland is feasible because I have a car. Toys R' Us doesn't look like an option, so any help would be great. |

Winnipeg, help me out please.
As some of you with little boys in your life will know, the Lego Starwars visual dictionary is probably the coolest book out right now. And its completely unavailable from the distributor, not even bookstores can order more in at the moment. Any idea where I can get a copy? McNally's and Indigo are out. What other bookstore options are there? I'm thinking little stores, chains I've forgotten about, or stores like Superstore or Costco, where they have a book section. I don't usually stray from McNally's when I want books so I'm lost.

Two questions today;
1.
When would the second newest (as in the season aired last year, not the one currently being aired) season of Family Guy be released on DVD? Before Christmas time?
2.
One of you very enlightened people informed me that the price of Wii's is pretty standard, as the store makes the money off of the price of the game, not the console. That brings me to my next question of where is a good place to buy Wii games on the cheap (as in the lowest price). Or are the games a pretty standard price as well?
PLEASE NOTE: I'm asking about the best place to buy GAMES not the console itself as the post states. I do appreciate you putting the effort into answering someone's question, but yeah, games not console. |
